JomKal helps users estimate calories and macros from meal photos. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as your email address, display name, sign-in provider, and Firebase user identifier. When you use the app, we may collect meal photos, meal analysis results, saved food logs, credit balance, subscription status, and technical diagnostics.

How We Use Information

We use your information to sign you in, analyze meal photos, display nutrition estimates, save your food history, manage credits, provide subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the service, and improve JomKal.

Meal Photos and AI Processing

Meal photos may be uploaded to our backend and processed by AI providers to estimate food items, portions, calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fat. AI estimates can be inaccurate, so you should review results before relying on them.

Service Providers

We use third-party services to operate JomKal, including Firebase for authentication and data storage, OpenAI for AI analysis, RevenueCat for subscription management, Expo for app delivery, and cloud hosting providers for backend infrastructure.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by platform app stores and managed through RevenueCat. We do not directly store your full payment card details.

Data Retention

We keep account, subscription, credit, and meal log information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may contact us to request deletion of your account data.

Your Choices

You may choose not to upload a meal photo, edit or delete saved meal entries where supported, manage subscriptions through the app store, and contact us about account deletion or privacy questions.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service is perfectly secure. Please use a strong account login and keep your device protected.

Children

JomKal is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
